　Welcome to Kito's neopian residence. Who is Kito, you say? She is the third feline addition to our household, and the self-proclaimed yogurt queen. We cannot make ourselves a bowl of yogurt without immediately garnishing her undivided attention. She is known to lurk conspicuously until we finish the bowl, and she expects to be given the privilege of licking the bowl clean. As you can probably guess, we often acquiesce. How could we resist such a darling girl? I'd like to see you try.

Yogurt isn't the only thing Kito loves, although it's definitely her obsession. She also demands the last of the milk once a bowl of cereal has been eaten, and she recently tried a taste of marinara sauce after I finished a bowl of spaghetti. Though she seemed to enjoy it, I worried it would upset her stomach and cut her off pretty quickly.

Kito's hobbies include stealing every pair of socks and every stray mitten she can find. After tossing them about and toying with them under doorways, she leaves them in obscure places around the home for us to find. When I sit to type at the PC, she loves to lay across my arms and purr loudly.

If Kito had it her way, there would never ever be any thunderstorms. She is absolutely terrified of thunder and the sound of rain pattering on the roof. The sky is falling, the sky is falling! She yowls at the top of her lungs during storms, waking up the house, intent on saving all of our lives. If the storm occurs during the daytime while we are all awake, she does not feel the need to yowl but rather scurries about the house anxiously, looking through each window in turn.

What's that? You'd like to pick her up? Oh, no, that is expressly forbidden except under very specific circumstances. If you'd like to activate Kito snuggles, the best protocol is to lay or sit on a bed or sofa and cover your legs with a blanket. This pose is irresistible to a Kito; she will inevitably come to lay with you. One of her favorite activities is communal naptime.

　ABOUT ✦ Kito came into the world during an extreme snowstorm that was quite uncharacteristic for our area. Her mother gave birth amidst record-breaking temperatures, heavy snowfall, and electricity blackouts. Despite the chaos, Kito's mother, Junebug, found a safe place to birth in a linen closet of my friend's cozy home. June gave birth to only one kitten, and it shows. Kito is the epitome of stereotypical only-child energy. She cannot comprehend that the world doesn't revolve solely around her. Her friendly, lovable nature is only smudged by her extreme entitlement. Unfortunately, her brain seems to be full of the same fluff that she sheds all over our home. Though she is absolutely darling, she would never win awards for her wit. Nor, do I believe, would she survive a day outside in the elements. Still, her affectionate nature and genuine interest in befriending most beings (both human and feline) within the walls of our home outweighs her ditziness and her demanding tendencies.

Phoebe Buffay

　PHOEBE is the eldest of the family. She was rescued during a hurricane, and I adopted her during a free event the shelter offered. I fell in love with her marbled tabby markings and her silvery undercoat and snuck away to adopt her without telling my partner. When I returned with a cat, I jokingly told him it was his birthday present (which was only a week away). Well, the joke is on me because Phoebe understood the assignment and is irrevocably in love with him. He is her most favorite human, and she only tolerates the rest of us. Still, she has a heart of gold, and if anyone is ever hurt or upset she is the first to go tend to them, checking on them with obvious concern. Phoebe is a dependable friend, even to Kito, who she is often annoyed with for pestering her non stop. She may bully her little sister, but she will also defend her.

Phoebe is so rude to me sometimes. I only want to be in her face 24/7, use her litterbox, race her to her food, and share her water bowl. Is that so much to ask?

Penelope

PENNY was found by my partner about two years after we adopted Phoebe. Just 4 months old, she was hiding in our neighbor's car engine after an early freeze the day before my birthday. He brought her inside covered in oil and we gave her a bath she was very appreciative of. We joked that he was reciprocating by giving me a cat for MY birthday. She has been nothing but grateful and sweet since becoming a part of our family. Unfortunately she never did learn to properly use a litter box, so she is an indoor/outdoor cat, which she loves. Undeniably the most intelligent of our felines, she has also kennel trained herself. So she sleeps inside most nights, protected from the antics of the other two hooligans whom she only barely tolerates. Kito just cannot resist constantly baiting Penny when she is inside unless we scold her for it.

　HISTORY & INSPIRATION ✦ When I saw how much the Toy Kougra resembled my darling girl, I had to create her here on neo. She was created and then immediately dipped in the rainbow fountain on the 2nd day of collecting Y25 [10-2-23] during the first faerie fest I participated in upon returning to neo. I was shocked by how many Fountain Faerie Quests I received during that event after having NEVER received one in all my prior years on neo. Now she sits here on my account as a lil token of my love for my IRL kitty who loves to sit on my arms as I type and play.
